Cades first pedicure
Sort of! So tonight Renee and I decided that during the girls dance class we would go get a pedicure...which meant we would have both boys with us! To say the least, I was very nervous since Cade rarely sits still. Luckily, both boys did great...the only thing I regret is not taking a picture. My camera was even in my pocket!! I guess I was just so amazed at Cades patience that I forgot about the photo op!! Anyhow, the toes look good and the boys got their first nail salon experience and Renee and I had a good time talking (something I thought could never happen in the presence of two toddler boys)!!

Christmas Cards
As most of you know, I love to make my own Christmas cards! But to those recipients, this year is going to be a little different I think. Currently I have a 3 year old, 15 month old, Im living at my parents and Im the general contractor on my house. To say the least I am busy. But of course, youre probably thinking, Kristin, you are ALWAYS busy. Yes, this is true, but this year I am giving myself a break. Shutterfly has so many amazing designs on their holiday cards that I can harldy pass up their ease of use. For many years I have trusted Shutterfly to my photo books, prints and other gifts for my parents/in-laws. So this year will be no different, I know that the Christmas cards will be perfect, and I wont have to create a million different cards by myself and narrow down them all to create the perfect card.
Ive had many different "projects" on shutterfly including these...
http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars (for my parents last year for Christmas.)
http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery (for my children's birth announcements)
and Ive loved the results everytime. So to all of my readers, get ready for your Christmas card...Im already preparing them!!

We have a hole!!!
We went from this...

with a little of this on the side!
Things have been crazy, already our timeline has been pushed back. Some things have gone good though, our appraisal came in much higher than we expected - so that was some good news!! Hopefully we will have our foundation in next week if all goes well...but Im not holding my breath for well...as our history does not usually follow that! Wish us good luck, and great weather!! :)

more pics from Ladies night - from Mindy
I think Mindys picture is better so Im including it again!
This is Mindys favorite picture, so I had to include it. So warm and snuggly :)!
These jeans were amazing. Nothing like a good pair of elastic jeans to get you through the week. No these are NOT maternity jeans!!
This vest, really speaks for itself. Nothing says fancy like an acid washed, quilted vest...especially when it costs 270.00...CRAZY!!
Mindy's purchases - a headband and a pair of sunglasses.
Me showing off my boots - still on even after 4 hours of shopping! My feet were definitly hurting...but it was so worth it :)!

Ladies night out
So my friend Renee asked me to join her for a "ladies night out", and although I had never heard of it - it sounded like fun. Basically what it is, is 14 girls hop in a van and it takes you around to all the boutiques in Lincoln (we just did the Northeast route). When you get to each boutique there is snacks and wine! Then you can shop and just mingle. We had soooooo much fun!! I asked my BFF Mindy to join us, and that was no mistake as I always have a blast with her. I will have to post more pictures when Mindy sends me hers, my camera died halfway through :(!
Here is a photo of Mindy and I
Here are the Foxy Ladies :)!
We died laughing when we saw these...I dont think anyone could take me seriously if they saw me in this.
After we tried on all the fur vests and finished laughing, we went outside to find that Renee had actually bought one!! She did look good in hers though!! Plus she bought the hat, which she was just sure "made" the outfit :)! See for yourself...Love it! (although the hat doesnt photo well, it appears more in this picture that she is a cat burglar)
The girls holding up the rear of the van...Angie, Mindy, me and Renee
This trip was especially awesome for me because 4 of the moms will have kids starting Kahoa with Camdyn. One mom has triplets and another has twins...so dont I look like the underachiever!! They are all in the new neighborhood, so that makes me even more excited to move!!
Halloween with the kids!
Halloween started out like any other morning, for me. I kissed the kids round rosy cheeks, and prepared myself for the day. For Camdyn; however, it started out much differently. Her day started with a sprint to the closet in what seemed like an attempt to be the first kid in her costume...in America. She pulled the closet doors open, yanked the hanger down and stared at the shimmering costume before her. This was like Christmas morning for her, shes a bit like her aunt Nicole when it comes to this. She asked if she could put her costume on, it was 7:30 a.m. but I thought, why not. So she started with the black shimmery tights with the orange, purple and silver stars, soon her bare legs were covered. Then she quickly pulled the black iridescent dress over her bed head, the light catching every sparkly thread on the way. Soon, I had a beautiful blond witch standing before me. The grin on her face is indescribable, but it’s the moment we as parents live for. With this quick transformation, I had the happiest girl on the block. She scurried through the house prancing like a princess, and then she said “Mom, Cade needs his costume on too.”
We made our way back to the kids’ bedroom and pulled out Cades costume. The grass green color and long shiny tail made it hard to miss. I didn’t think Cade would have quite as good of a reaction, due to the unknown reason of wearing a costume…although lest be honest Cades costume was more of a glorified sweat suit ! But when I put the first sleeve in, his face lit up. He somehow knew that he was being transformed. By the time I had his last leg in his costume, er sweatpants, he was grinning from ear to ear. It was magical. He even let me put the hood up for the entire day, which led to a sweaty head, which led to curly hair – and I loved it! I had a handsome dragon to go along with my beautiful witch.
What came next is what brought me back to reality. I unfortunately got another migraine. It was as if I couldn’t miss a weekend without one. I was devastated, not only because I would eventually spend the rest of the afternoon with my head over the toilet and grimacing from the pain of the headache, but because I would miss my children’s smiles. Luckily for me it only lasted about 5 hours, so I had some time to hang out with the kids later in the day.
Once I felt like I could make it out of the bedroom without throwing up again (way too much information), I drug myself to the kitchen to carve a pumpkin. For those who have had a migraine, you know how tortuous this is, but it was worth it to spend the time with my kids. We drew the face on, the first one was a little “weak” according to Camdyn. So we completed another, and this time she was quite impressed.
After the pumpkin carving, we waited for the Wiig family to arrive. Once they arrived we headed out with our witch, dragon and ballerina. Trick or treating was a lot more fun this year, since Camdyn actually had an idea of what was going on. The first house was a little confusing for her, instead of ringing the doorbell she just hollered at the door “TRICK OR TREAT!” After a little explaining we had successful candy-getting with very few interruptions. One house, however, decided to tell Camdyn that she could take two pieces. So at the next house when the woman told Camdyn to pick one piece of Candy, Camdyn informed her that the previous neighbor had offered her two. It was hilarious, Camdyn is such a negotiator! One other house, we had a man dressed up in a mask, ready to scare the kids. She was a little scared, as she clenched onto my hand, but she proceeded up there as nothing was going to stand between her and the candy. Before we could finish Camdyn had to makre sure her tote was FULL, luckily for us her theory of full is much different than our theory…and we were done at half full. We made it home with three happy kids!! Here are some pictures!!
Dragons still like to slide!
crash and burn! The tail was really throwing him off!

Jay
So Jay and Sarah were back for the weekend, and although they were back for a funeral, we snuck in a little visit. It was so great to see them...we miss them a TON. It had been awhile since we had seen them, and this is what I saw. Jay had LONG HAIR...and we were wearing the same headband. It was hilarious, and of course deserved a blog post :)! Miss you guys!
Luckily for me though, I have been chatting Sarah up everyday. It really pays to have a friend who is an interior designer when you are building a house. She is a wealth of knowledge and I love her style. And since we have known eachother so long she also "gets" me. I said I wanted a sophisticated but warm style, she sent me some samples and it was EXACTLY what I was talking about. I cant wait to see more of her ideas and getting her helpful money saving tips. Love ya Sarah!!
Tailgating
We went down for the Missouri game, had some fun tailgating!
I got to see Tony, which was awesome - I havnt got to see him forever.
Halloween
Me and Ruth (aka Bob Marley)
