BFF's

So Friday night we had a special little guest overnight!!  My BFF's daughter got to come over for a little sleepover!!  Camdyn and Addy did not stop talking about it all week, everyday was a countdown.  Poor Mindy the day of, she had to hear them talk (nonstop) about what they were going to do that night.  They had all sorts of plans!!  The night did not disapoint either, we did everything in the few hours that we had the girls...
Played dressup
 Had a tea party!!
 Cheers!!!
 Colored at Camdyns desk
Until they were finally ready for bed!!  (for some reason they wanted to sleep in the living room, on the floor!!)
Although, this was just one shot I got of them laying down.  For about a half hour before they actually stayed laying down, they would run to the bathroom giggling and then run back to their beds.  I was exhausted by the end of the night :)!

Then the morning came, and I dont think either girl was ready for them to seperate.  They truly love eachother!!
 Two peas in a pod!!
We had so much fun, cant wait to have you back Addy!!

The applejack festival!!

I mean really could he be any cuter :)!

This is what he did on the ride to the apple jack festival...put his milk on his head and went "la la la" with his toungue.
And then he made this face!  Which happens to be my favorite.  Its something my dad always did as a little kid, and since Cade looks just like my dad its fitting that he acts just like him too!!
Getting her face painted at the apple jack festival!
 So cute!
 Jumping in the bounce house
 Riding the pony!
My kids with the grandparents!!  So cute!
Cade with my dad (hes such a grandpas boy) and Nicole and Billy

On our way to the first dance class

Camdyn is so excited to get to class!

Camdyn is in the pink sitting on her knees

Showing me the moves she learned!

She is loving the class so far.  The crazy thing is they were told to pick partners and she immediatly picked this cute little girl.  I was sitting there talking to her mom, and happened to ask which one her daughter was...she said the little girl holding the girl in the pink leotards hand.  Yep, you guessed it - that little girl in the pink was Camdyn.  So we got to talking and it turns out the girls will be starting kindergarten together at Kahoa and they live very close to our new house.  Looks like Camdyn will have a new friend in the neighborhood already!!  I cant wait to move there, I have a feeling its going to be a great change for us!

Camdyns weekly quote

So we were eating Arby's sandwiches the other night when Kyle, who ate his first sandwich as if it were growing legs and running away from him, reaches into the bag for his second one.  Clearly Camdyn, who is no stranger to his frenzy eating ways, quickly blurts out "Dad calm down on the sandwiches"!  I about died, she was afraid he would eat her food too :)!

Other things heard this week...

- I cant eat mustard it has caffeine in it.
- Mom Cade touched my sippy cup, now I need purfume to get his smell off.

Shes a goofy goofy girl!!

My little boy

Hes going to be a manly man
with a gentle heart :)
thats how it appears atleast :)!!

Go huskers!

On Saturday Cade got to hang out with his girlfriend Avery and Camdyn got to hang with Ashlynn.  Its always such a good time for the four of them, but it just gets better as the kids get older.  Now Avery and Cade didnt just sit and stare at eachother they actually played and talked together!!

Its so hard to believe that these two little kids have grown up so fast.  Check the post from last year here.  They grow up way too quick!!
Cade traditionally remains pantsless when Kyle changes his diaper, I dont know why!!
The best part about Ashlynn, besides her adorable face is the fact that she entertains the kids!!  Its a change from chasing both my kids around the entire time!!
Ashlynn giving Camdyn "pony" rides!
Goofing around!

Random quotes by Camdyn

So Im going to try to start doing the quote of the week for Camdyn since I forget all the funny things she says by the next day.  I want to make sure I dont forget all these memories!!

Her quote of the month currently is "You scared me right out the heck".

Quote of the week, a little gross...so the other day she had a little accident in her undies (now remember she has been potty trained for over a year now - with very very few accidents).  So she sneakily goes in the bathroom to change them herself without being detected.  But of course, I ruined that plan by busting in the bathroom on her.  So she quickly says, "Mom I dont know what I happened, it must have been a little gas".  Lol, yeah dear thats what they call a shart.  So funny!

Great friends with older kids :)!

So Jaymie passed down some clothes to Camdyn, and Camdyn could not have been more excited. I can not get her out of this little number!! Everynight we get home she puts it on for the rest of the night and sleeps in it. I have a feeling this little girl is gonna love dance!! She starts Monday - so it should be interesting!!
What a ham!
So thanks Jaymie, she loves all the leotards and clothes you gave her!!  (you redeemed yourself, after she thought you stole her gum, lol!!)

My first 5K

So Jaymie and I decided to do the "Mud Run", I was thinking it would be easier because there would be obstacles and so that would take my mind off of running.  But I was wrong.  It was very tough, the terrain was hard to run on, it was hilly and the obstacles made things harder.  We ran for probably 1 mile and then went down a steep hill (we chose the decline route - which was labeled as the hardest) to where we then entered a creek.  This water was chilly, and waist high.  It wasnt too bad, I tried not to think about what I might be stepping on...ew!  Then we made it to the other side where we climbed back up a steep hill, which by this time was a mudslide due to the previous (faster) runners bringing half the creek with them.  It was a little tricky, but not too bad.  The hard part came after - when we were now running with extra weight and slippery socks!  Next we ran another mile to a fence - we climbed this and made our way to some tractor tires.  We scaled those and moved right on the mud pit (hence the name of the run) which had bungy cords strung accross it which meant you were to crawl through the mud.  So on our hands and knees we went laughing the whole way (I had to laugh or I would throw up!!) especially when I splashed the water, er mud, onto my face.  Sick!  Then after we made our way out of the mud we ran another mile to the finish line, trying the entire way not to roll an ankle.  Luckily there was a guy reminding us not to roll an ankle...as if we werent running on it.  Yeah buddy, I can tell theres a chance for rolling an ankle...I can feel the chunks of concrete under my feet.  Regardless, I had a successful run.  I only had three goals for my first race.  1.  Do not get last place 2.  Do not get hurt, and number 3.  Do not throw up.  I accomplished all those goals, although number 3 lingered at the back of my throat for a good 3 hours after the race :)!  Oh I almost forgot, one of me and Jaymies goals was the enjoy a cold Michelob Ultra after the race, I mean after all the race was sponsered by them.  Much to our dismay, the two of us still look like 20 year olds because we were unable to get a beer without our ID's.  If the car wasnt a mile away we would have gone back to the car.  But after our wait in line for the fire hose, and the line to see the results...we were waited out (plus I just really wanted to sit down!!)  All in all it was a good time, and great memories were made!

Here are a couple before and after pics.

Before
Sorta after, at this point we had already been hosed off by gentle spray of the fire hose.  Gentle, yeah right.  You can see the mud still dripping down my legs and on my neck and chin.  After awhile it started to smell like cow dung, and Im still trying to get the image of myself crawling around in cow poop out of my head.
